MAILA COL

The EasyMount+® mounting adapter enables truss or shackle mounting of MAILA array configurations in flown applications. The “DGUV regulation 17”-compliant mounting adapter made of steel with a robust powder coating can be attached to the MAILA SPA and COL amplifier module - the basis of every flown MAILA configuration - without the use of tools and suspended from the truss via a "self-lock" tube clamp. A "self-lock" rake is included in the scope of delivery for attaching to the truss. Alternatively, the system can be suspended using the shackle bracket included in the scope of delivery.Once mounted, the EasyMount+® bracket enables convenient 360° rotation and alignment of flown MAILA configurations - even under load with several attached MAILA SAT or MAILA COL modules. The mount can be equipped with a maximum of 8x SAT + 1x COL. A clever collar secures the vertical alignment of the loudspeaker array and allows it to be adjusted in the blink of an eye.Note: A shackle is not included in the scope of delivery.Only use suitable shackles Ø 12 mm!

The MAILA ARRAY RC M protects one MAILA COL and four MAILA SAT modules, both in ground stack and flight mode. A detachable transparent window ensures good access to the control and connection panel as well as sufficient ventilation of the amp unit to prevent overheating. The cover can be opened at the back to allow the modules to be mounted and their angle of inclination to be adjusted. In combination with the MAILA ARRAY RC S, the cover can be used to fit the MAILA L set perfectly.Note: For comprehensive rain protection, an additional rain cover hood (MAILA HOOD RC S) is required to protect against water entering from above.The MAILA rain covers are made of high-quality, rain-repellent material and offer reliable protection for the LD Systems MAILA system at outdoor events. The front of the rain covers is covered with a special, impregnated acoustic fabric that ensures clear sound transmission. The various MAILA rain covers can be combined with each other using a Velcro system to create customised solutions for different configurations. This modularity enables optimum protection of the individual modules and the system as a whole, while at the same time allowing convenient operation.

With the MAILA SUB CB castor board, the MAILA SUB 2x15" high-performance subwoofer can be conveniently transported to any position. The MAILA SUB is securely fastened by two integrated butterfly fasteners. The stackable castor board made of 18 mm plywood runs on four 100 mm heavy-duty castors and is optimally protected from scratches and other signs of wear by its polyurea coating.

MAILA L is the largest ground-stack stereo system in the MAILA family and delivers maximum power and punch for medium-sized live sound applications, clubs and corporate events when a flown setup is not possible for various reasons.As a ground stack system, MAILA L sets new standards with its flexibility. Powered by a total output of 15 kW, MAILA L combines several acoustic concepts into a unique sound reinforcement solution: bandpass subwoofer with cardioid function, column element with integrated DSP amplifier and coaxial satellite with line array functionality.The MAILA L is based on four 2.5 kW 2x15'' high-performance subwoofers (MAILA SUB) in bandpass design, which deliver a massive and powerful bass foundation with their newly developed SysCore® DSP. On top of the double subwoofers sits the MAILA COL full-range column module, which, in addition to the 4x 6.5'' woofers for an extended low-mid range, also includes a 4-channel DSP amplifier (2.5 kW) with SysCore® DSP powering the MAILA SAT satellites via the cable-free SmartLink+® rails.Six MAILA SAT satellites are mounted on each COL column element in an elegant unibody aluminium housing. Based on Advanced WaveAhead® technology, each SAT has five 1'' tweeters that are placed in front of a 6.5'' midrange driver and coupled without interference via the SonicGuide® (two combined waveguides). Furthermore, despite the satellite's compact dimensions, the integrated passive membrane provides extended punch down to 100 Hz. The result is a classic line array dispersion pattern with an impressive throw due to the height of the ground stack setup of over 3 metres.On the back of the housing of each MAILA SAT is a rotating handle which hides a groundbreaking innovation: via the patented EasySplay® mechanism, users can adjust the inclination of each individual satellite continuously from 0° to 8° literally in the blink of an eye. MAILA SUB forms the basis of every MAILA system. The 2.5 kW 2x15'' high-performance subwoofer features a bandpass design and, with its newly developed SysCore® DSP, delivers a massive and powerful bass foundation in any application.The acoustic concept of the MAILA SUB is based on a planar wave bandpass design with quarter-wave horn and symmetrical driver construction. By placing the two 15'' speakers opposite each other, the MAILA SUB enables exceptional impulse compensation, resulting in a powerful and precise low-frequency punch.The four large-area bass reflex openings, in conjunction with the enclosure design, ensure optimised airflow and reduced flow losses, resulting not only in a lower noise level, but above all in higher efficiency at low frequencies.The enclosure of the subwoofer is made of 18 mm thick birch plywood. The MAILA SUB defies the rigours of everyday road use with a hard-wearing polyurea paint finish. A total of six carrying handles ensure optimum grip during assembly and dismantling. For comfortable transport on longer trips, the optional MAILA SUB CB castor board is the optimal choice.With LogoLink®, LD Systems has added another innovation to MAILA. With the padded protective cover made of water-repellent 1680D nylon, the MAILA SUB is optimally protected from the weather and other influences. The protective cover can be pulled over the front grille of the 2x15" high-performance subwoofer to protect the MAILA SUB in a lying position on the optional MAILA SUB CB castor board. The reinforced cut-outs incl. Velcro flap on the sides allow the MAILA SUB to be gripped and transported even with the cover on.

MAILA SPA is the only MAILA module without integrated loudspeakers - and yet an integral part of the MAILA concept. Its versatility can already be guessed at by looking at the range of MAILA sets: The MAILA SPA amplifier module is used in the smallest MAILA-S ground stack set as well as in the large MAILA XL version with flown arrays.MAILA SPA is an amplifier module in elegant unibody aluminium design with integrated 1.25 kW power amplifier with SysCore® DSP for controlling up to eight MAILA SAT satellites. Via the SmartLink+® system, the satellites can be simply slid onto the SPA and wirelessly supplied with a signal. In addition, SmartLink+® enables automatic detection of the installed satellites for automatic or manual DSP processing.As with the MAILA COL column module, MAILA SPA allows users to create ground stack configurations with a speaker pole (included in the MAILA S set) as well as flown setups with the EasyMount+® mounting adapter.With LogoLink®, LD Systems has added another innovation to MAILA. Via the free MAILA app (iPadOS), every MAILA system can be quickly, easily and precisely adjusted and wirelessly supplied with software updates. The MAILA DB speaker pole enables the installation of MAILA ground stack systems consisting of MAILA SUB, MAILA SPA and MAILA SAT. Made of powder-coated steel, it has a fixed height of 70 cm and is screwed to the MAILA SUB subwoofer at the lower end via an M20 thread. The upper end is used to attach the MAILA SPA amplifier module, which can be equipped with a maximum of three satellites.

The MAILA SAT satellite speaker is a true line array element and is full of surprises The elegant and robust unibody aluminium enclosure houses five 1'' tweeters in front of a 6.5'' midrange driver, arranged in a coaxial design based on Advanced WaveAhead® technology and coupled almost interference-free via the SonicGuide® (two combined waveguides). The result is a classic line array radiation pattern with impressive throw and energy density. The horn-loaded 6.5'' midrange driver with 1.8'' voice coil and neodymium driver features a split-path waveguide as well as a phase plug and enables a particularly high sensitivity in the midrange.The tweeter section is formed by five vertically arranged 1'' dome tweeters that do not require a compression chamber and thus offer an even and natural dispersion pattern (100° horizontal x 8° vertical). At the same time, the midrange driver's phase plug reduces the heat generated by the tweeter voice coils, contributing to the satellite's increased efficiency. Both the audio signal and the power supply for the passive MAILA elements are provided via the robust aluminium rails. In addition, SmartLink+® allows the installed satellites to be detected for automatic or manual DSP processing.
