The HF waveguide has been designed using BEM, the numerical modeling of sound radiation and propagation. It reduces floor and ceiling reflections, effectively eliminates side lobes and achieves a controlled uniform coverage pattern. Situated directly in front of the two 8” woofers, phase plugs ensure that midrange efficiency is increased and harmonic distortion above the crossover frequency is reduced.The STINGER® 28 G3 is designed to be a real workhorse throughout. The STINGER® 28 A G3 is powered by a highly efficient Class-D amplifier with a powerful 500-watt continuous output. Its two specially developed 8" woofers and a BMS tweeter driver achieve a powerful bass response and fresh, natural trebles. The wave guide of the tweeter has been developed using the Boundary Element Method (BEM), a numerical simulation of the sound radiation and dispersion. It reduces reflection from floors and ceilings and prevents sidelobe levels, thus achieving controlled and homogeneous dispersion.
