Phenolic coated panels
Phenolic-coated panels are the key materials used in the manufacture of robust and durable flight cases. These panels are made of high-quality, multi-layered birch plywood that is coated on both sides with a resistant phenolic resin film. This special coating provides an extremely scratch-proof, abrasion-resistant, and moisture-resistant surface, making the boards perfect for demanding day-to-day touring. The phenolic-coated panels are available in different material thicknesses – for example, 6.5 mm, 9 mm, 15 mm, or 18 mm – making it easy to optimally adapt to various case sizes and weight classes. They are often used as sieve/film boards: the smooth film side is easy to clean and provides an elegant look, while the sieve side with its rough, non-slip structure offers maximum safety when stacking and handling. To realise individual case designs, there are also a wide range of options available for colour selection, formats, and panel sizes. These properties make phenolic-coated sheets the ideal choice for the professional construction of transport cases and flight cases that reliably protect sensitive and expensive equipment and withstand the highest loads.
