Customers first

Customer relations and customer loyalty are of particularly high importance. The sales staff are therefore the first point of contact for the B2B business partners from around the world. This applies to both internal sales and when on customer premises. Starting with expert advice, making, accepting or following up offers and coordinating deliveries, all the way to processing complaints and providing customer care at the many trade fairs and events – for example in one of our many showrooms – the Adam Hall Group international sales department is a diverse and exciting area to work in and is the motor of the company. 

 

Our expert advisors have business or technical qualifications, good knowledge of English – the export quota is more than 50 percent – are skilled in using the ERP systems and MS Office programs and boast a high level of technical knowledge in general. These prerequisites and the willingness to gain continuous further training distinguish our sales staff. Many are musicians or have worked as DJs or in the field of event technology. 

 

The Adam Hall Group also seeks to maintain direct contact with customers in the future. But digital tools such as the new B2B web shop, customer-specific newsletters, the new, informative group page, software solutions and optimized processes increasingly ensure closer customer relations. Markets and technologies are in a constant state of rapid change. We are happy to accept these challenges, which constantly improve the competence and professionalism of the sales staff.

Adam Hall Group Product Management manages the entire life cycle of products within the company: from the initial market needs assessment to the design process of products and applications, to their market readiness right up to the end of their life cycle. Product Management operates as a strategic and operative coordination unit. This is where the processes and cooperation with suppliers, clients, company divisions and departments are managed from. 

 

The product managers are passionate about audio, lighting, stage and event technology, and identify upcoming trends thanks to continuous market observation. Creative and practical thinking is in demand, as are negotiating skills and strategic product lifecycle management. 

 

As entrepreneurs within the company, Adam Hall Group product managers have many opportunities for international exchange. They assume responsibility, and their vision can make a big difference within our company.

 

Research & Development

From laboratory to the field

The Research & Development Department is the centre of new products at the Adam Hall Group. This is where product ideas find their way to series production, in close cooperation with product management. The team of engineers, product specialists and designers develop concepts, and assess the technical feasibility of new products. Using prototypes, the performance of each new development is critically compared with the requirements profile, and then optimised. 

 

In the laboratories in Neu-Anspach, near Frankfurt am Main, Germany, the R&D team have CAD workspaces available for their daily work, as well as the latest technology for electronic, acoustic and light measurement. In addition to flawless technical functionality, the goals also include guaranteeing a high level of reliability, while keeping an eye on economic feasibility. 

 

With a focus on innovative design and intuitive operation, the Research & Development Department also works hard to achieve an excellent user experience. Our customers' feedback plays a decisive role here.

 

Information Technology

Decoding Digital

Information Technology (IT) takes care of operations at Adam Hall Group, and also maintains the infrastructure. It is the help desk for the headquarters and the international locations, and supervises software development and project management for all Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), web, mobile and backend applications, and also operates a comprehensive data warehouse and reporting solution. The specialists are in demand in the other departments, not only as business partners. They are also facilitators, mediators and process managers – in short "enablers". 

 

From software developers to system administrators, process managers and BI managers to e-commerce specialists: there is a wide range of interesting challenges. The comprehensive range of training options, as well as the experience and open communication, are the basis of team-based cooperation. 

 

In order to provide support for and shape digital transformation in a dynamically growing company, the department is extremely strategically important within the Adam Hall Group. It contributes to corporate success and competitiveness, distinguishing itself through its customer understanding, innovative skill and digital know-how. Due to increasing complexity, IT must be both flexible and increasingly efficient to deal with the challenging requirements.

 

Logistics, Service, QM & Supply Chain

Clockwork behind the scenes

Logistics and supply chain management at the Adam Hall Group have always functioned in the background as classic service departments. Nevertheless, the more than 70 staff members in the planning, quality control, value added service, warehousing, dispatch and project and process management departments are well aware of the immense importance of their tasks. It is only when every cog fits perfectly into the next that the goods can get from the production room to the customer at the fastest speed.

 

In addition to sophisticated prognosis software, the logistical centerpiece is the D1 main warehouse in Neu-Anspach, near Frankfurt am Main, Germany. In order to meet the demands of the future, there will be space for approx. 9,000 pallets and an automatic small-parts warehouse facility with space for some 18,000 containers as of mid-2017. The second logistics location is the duty-free warehouse in Ningbo, China, which serves the Asian and American market and boasts short delivery times.

 

Internal and external cooperation and a well-coordinated team are of utmost importance. As is the skill to be able to grow beyond one's limitations at busy times in order that orders can be delivered on time.

 

Finance, HR & Administration

Reliable & conscientious

Financing, Human Resources and Administration are multi-layered and diverse. The exciting challenges of upper management in the daily management of the company are dealt with; long-term and trusting partnerships with banks are maintained, and support is provided for exciting large-scale projects. In addition, Controlling has the daily challenge of making transparent reporting available to management for important company decisions. 

 

It's the employees who put the company in the overtaking lane. This means that the Human Resources team competes for the world's best talent. At Adam Hall Group, sustainable human resources management doesn't end with the selection of the right employee. As well as recruiting, which is accompanied by strong employer branding, a lot of work is put into the successful onboarding of new colleagues. Individually customised staff policy plans, and tailored training and further education offers supplement employee qualifications. 

 

Administration looks after more than just office management. A visit to the company is made as comfortable as possible for visitors and guests. Administration is always available to listen to employee concerns, provide support for event planning and projects, and make a great contribution to the open and friendly company culture at Adam Hall.

 

Business Development

Think Tank and service provider at the same time

The Business Development department is both internal and external in its focus and is primarily responsible for developing new business units. It observes and analyses global developments and prepares the operations required for the necessary changes to the company's strategies. 

 

The Adam Hall Group's wide-ranging international network – professional bodies, market and sector policy, customer groups, specialist markets, alliances of all kinds – which have resulted from decades-long work and experience in these fields – is intensively cultivated and expanded by the Business Development department. Many of the findings and suggestions from this Think Tank are taken into account and implemented in the company's various tasks and departments. Business Development sees itself thus not just as a representative of the Adam Hall Group in the markets, but as a service provider for the internal departments. 

 

Strategy development for new marketplaces and business units (e.g. the Asia Pacific or Middle East) and actively implementing these is a top priority for Business Development.
