DMX Controllers
DMX controllers and DMX interfaces are the central control units for professional lighting systems. They enable precise control of fixtures such as moving heads, LED PARs, wash lights, floodlights, and effect luminaires using the standardized DMX-512 protocol or modern network standards like Art-Net and sACN.
The range extends from compact lighting control desks with faders, encoders, and integrated presets for quick setups to powerful software-based lighting controllers that allow complex and dynamic light shows to be programmed, stored, and played back in detail. Many systems also support RDM (Remote Device Management) for bidirectional communication and simplified fixture configuration.
For permanent installations or standalone applications, dedicated standalone DMX controllers can run pre-programmed shows without the need for a PC — ideal for clubs, architectural lighting, exhibitions, or trade show booths. Depending on the model, DMX controllers offer different channel capacities, support multiple DMX universes, and can be expanded with wireless DMX systems such as CRMX or W-DMX.
Thanks to their robust construction, versatile connectivity options, and regular firmware updates via USB or network, DMX controllers and interfaces are essential tools for lighting designers, event technicians, and system integrators who require professional, flexible, and creative lighting control at the highest level.
