19" Power Distribution Units

19" rack power distribution units enable central and organised power distribution within a rack, ensuring maximum operational reliability and order when supplying power to a wide range of devices. These units, designed for installation in standard 19" racks, are available in different configurations and, depending on the model, offer a variable number of earthing contact (schuko) or IEC cold-device sockets on the front and/or rear. The tried-and-tested features usually include a central, illuminated on/off switch, integrated circuit breakers for overload protection and, in some cases, overvoltage protection to protect sensitive devices. Models with multiple switches usually control groups of outlets, not individual outlets separately. The enclosures are robustly made – usually from aluminium or sheet steel – and guarantee stability and durability in a professional touring, studio or fixed installation environment. With an installation height of usually 1 U or 2 U, they can be integrated into any setup to save space and offer a reliable, tidy power supply for audio devices, power amplifiers, servers or network components.
