MD Rental invests in MAILA XXL

Far from ordinary

"We are a comparatively young company and were looking for a unique sound system that would make us stand out from the crowd". This is a clear and straightforward breakdown of the requirements from the Hungarian full-service provider MD Rental, based in Budapest. It was at a LD Systems customer event that MD Rental founder and CEO, Marcell Drobilisch, finally found the solution: the MAILA Modular All-Round Intelligent Line Array. With the investment in MAILA XXL, the largest and most flexible MAILA set, MD Rental is the first event technology provider in Hungary with its own MAILA system.

"The decisive factor, however, was the fact that we can adapt MAILA XXL to almost any size and use it in any situation - from press conferences to large theater performances." In addition to touring theater productions, MD Rental also specializes in corporate events with up to 1,000 guests. Here too, the MAILA XXL will be used flexibly as a flown system or in the smaller ground stack configuration.

Among the first MAILA events was a big conference in a large hall at the Hungexpo exhibition center, which attracted around 1,000 visitors. "People were seated at rows of tables at different distances from the stage. Our goal was to provide an even sound distribution of 96 dB (A) for all participants," explains Marcell. This was achieved with a main PA consisting of one MAILA COL column speaker (incl. power amplifier) and eight MAILA SAT array satellites per side, supplemented by a side-hang consisting of four MAILA SAT and one MAILA SPA power amplifier module. The delay system comprised two arrays of one MAILA COL and five MAILA SAT each. For the first rows, two MAILA SAT with one MAILA SPA on a speaker stand were used as front fills. The MAILA SUB 2x15'' high-performance bandpass subwoofers were placed in front of the stage as a cardioid system in a straight line.
