As a global producer of technology solutions for professional events, we regularly participate in national and international trade fairs and industry events. Our presence at locations across Europe, North America and Asia also means that we must assume an appropriate measure of responsibility for our environment. As a company, this responsibility is something we are increasingly aware of. Therefore, we have established our climate promise towards the environment, in an all-encompassing “framework agreement”: By 2030, we want to reduce our CO2 emissions by more than half and by 2050 we are striving to be completely climate-neutral. It is important to have major goals for the future, and the individual steps leading to these goals are crucial.
On the roof of our company headquarters lies an important part of our environmentally friendly solution, a 10,000 m² photovoltaic system. In the spring of 2021, it was included as part of a 3,500 m² expansion of to our logistics center. The expansion has created new storage capacities and we now have the opportunity to cover the majority of our energy requirements by generating our own electricity. We can also use the connection to the local heating supply as an alternative to conventional heating systems. The plant now produces around 550,000 kWh of electricity per year. Since January 2021, our additional electricity requirements have been provided by Greenpeace Energy(www.greenpeace-energy.de/geschaeftskunden.html).In the medium term, this will enable us to meet 100% of our electricity requirements using ecological sources and to save around 300 tonnes of CO2 per year. Sustainable mobility is another very important issue to us – which is why we provide our employees, business partners and visitors with charging options in our parking area, for electric cars and electric bikes (factsheet in the download area).
Leading a company in line with a social commitment to employees and the human environment – a company that responsibly regards itself as part of the environment and whose growth and permanence is not unconditionally driven by business success – is an organic process that is always in focus. This is an important characteristic of the company culture that we have created. As the first company in the event technology industry in Germany to be awarded Green Globe (see below) certification in 2020, with conviction, we are taking responsibility for the environment.
