From classic concert halls, theatres, and clubs to multifunctional event locations – the requirements for fixed installed sound and lighting systems are as varied as the venue formats themselves. With the commercial audio, lighting, and control solutions from Adam Hall Integrated Systems, specialist planners or installation service providers have the entire spectrum covered: scalable line array systems and installation speakers, static and moving LED fixtures for indoor and outdoor use as well as integrated signal management for all zones and areas.

Integrated audio and lighting solutions for an all-round visitor experience
Venue installations require more than just powerful PA systems and an effective lighting rig. Even off the stage, sound and lighting technology have to work together to complete the visitor experience. Welcome guests with atmospheric façade illumination, accompany visitors to the adjoining bar or lobby with separately controllable sound and lighting, and play announcements and gongs specifically in individual rooms. The QUESTRA design and management software allows for all areas to be planned and managed in a centralised platform.

The application
This example depicts a typical event hall featuring a stage with seating, which is to be furnished with a fixed installed PA system. The goal is to achieve even sound coverage with a minimal drop in level all the way to the back rows. The system can be used for both voice and music applications and can be flexibly scaled and expanded as required. Depending on the situation, adjoining rooms can also be outfitted with a mobile sound system.
The solution
A compact, flown line array system is ideal for small to medium-sized halls without sacrificing sound quality and sound dispersion. An additional ground stack PA system from the same family, which can also be optionally used for mobile operation in the foyer or other rooms, is used to support the front and side audience areas. Subwoofers on the floor in front of or below the stage provide low-frequency support. Setting up and adjusting the entire system’s sound is easy and mobile via a dedicated tablet app.
The products
The LD Systems MAILA system is a scalable sound system consisting of a total of four modules that sets new standards when it comes to diversity and flexibility. The flown MAILA XXL system is composed of one MAILA COL column element and eight MAILA SAT satellites on each side, the angles of which can be manually adjusted to fit the room. The subwoofer arrangement on the floor is made up of six MAILA SUB 2×15" subwoofers. The mobile ground stack PA comprises an active MAILA SUB on the floor and a single MAILA SAT speaker module driven by a MAILA SPA amplifier module.
