A restaurant with indoor and outdoor areas on two floors, which will be used for DJ events, parties and more in addition to regular catering operations. The customer wanted a zone-based controllable sound system with flexible source selection that would be suitable for both background music and higher volumes and also enable announcements in all zones. The lighting also had to cover different requirements and be controllable by employees without any in-depth knowledge.

Using QUESTRA as a central planning and control platform for audio and lighting, the restaurant was divided into zones and equipped with built-in speakers and cabinet speakers. The cabinet speakers are suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, ensuring a seamless look. There’s also a media player for internet radio and streaming services. A separate mixing amplifier with priority switching is available for the paging microphone. In addition to the ambient and table lighting in the interior, further fixtures were installed in the outdoor areas for event and ambient lighting. The pre-programmed light scenes can be recalled by staff using a touch controller.

The speakers (LD Systems) used are CFL 62 in-wall speakers in the ceiling and DQOR 8 8'' installation speakers indoors and outdoors. The central amplifier unit is the QUESTRA-compatible LD Systems IPA 424 T DSP power amplifier, which runs both the RSMP radio streaming media player and the separate PRE ST 1 stereo mixer preamplifier for the PAM paging microphone. The lighting (Cameo) in the indoor area is provided by H2 FC House Lights with full-colour LED, supplemented by ZENIT W300i LED wash lights and DURA LINE 100 linear fixtures in the outdoor area. A CONTROL PAD Stick Edition multi-zone DMX wall controller is used to control the lighting.
