LD Systems provides sound for the Nögen social dining restaurant

Whether it's the ghost forest, pumpkin factory or HekseSkolen with its 15 interactive witch rooms – light colours, fog effects and shadow plays alternate throughout the park. The aim was to illuminate both the winding themed areas and the main paths in an atmospheric way. Most of the lights were positioned along the paths between trees, bushes, sculptures and props. A total of over 400 fixtures from the Cameo outdoor portfolio were used, including 300 FLAT PRO 12 G2 RGBWA LED spots, 80 ZENIT W300 LED wash lights and 21 AZOR SP2 IP spot profile moving heads. The lighting setup was rounded off by OTOS B5 Beam moving heads, ZENIT W600 SMD wash lights and DURA SPOT 200 IP67 spots, which were used especially for dynamic lighting effects.
Given Denmark's harsh coastal climate, the focus was on reliable, weatherproof equipment. For this reason, all units featured at least IP65 protection against dust and water – a must, given the rain, wind and temperature fluctuations typical of the Scandinavian autumn. ‘The devices ran outdoors for several hours every day throughout the entire period – without any failures,’ confirms Jacob Kristensen, Head of Sound & Light at Djurs Sommerland. In addition to the protection class, the park operators were also impressed by the compact design and homogeneous colour representation of the various Cameo models.
With its beautifully staged Halloween world, Djurs Sommerland shows how leisure parks can be transformed into seasonal experience worlds when combined with a creative lighting concept. The Cameo lights made a decisive contribution to this – as weatherproof, versatile tools that reliably illuminate both large areas and detailed scenes.
‘In 2025, we set a new visitor record with 885,000 guests – and our new Halloween concept played a decisive role in this, with around 135,000 visitors during this period alone,’ says Michael B. Nielsen, who runs Djurs Sommerland as director together with his brother Henrik B. Nielsen. ‘After Dark was a complete success. We are delighted that we were able to develop a format that allows our guests to experience the park in a completely new way. This will certainly not be the last edition of the Halloween Special."
