Cameo illuminates the Czech festival summer

From EDM to rock'n'roll

Beats for Love, Let it Roll, Grape, Colours of Ostrava – the last festival season was a resounding success for High Lite Touring from Ostrava in the Czech Republic. The event technology service provider not only hit the road in its home country, but also in neighbouring Slovakia. The Cameo ZENIT W600 LED Outdoor Wash Lights, which have been part of High Lite Touring's portfolio in 40 versions since 2024, were a constant companion.

"The ZENIT W600 is being requested by a growing number of bands and event organizers, which is why we decided to invest in more of them last year," explains Václav Olšar from High Lite Touring. The wide rental availability of the ZENIT W600 also played a decisive role for the busy company. "We are currently planning a large festival, where around 160 ZENIT W600s will be used for the set and audience lighting."

High Lite Touring also used the RGBW LED wash lights at the 2024 festivals, primarily to illuminate large areas and set elements in colour. One highlight was the Grape Festival with its iconic pyramid construction made of Layher elements, which was made all the more impressive thanks to the ZENIT W600 lighting. At Let it Roll, one of the biggest drum & bass festivals in the world, the wash lights formed the basis for the illumination of the equally impressive stage.

Beats for Love Festival

Hosting top acts like Boris Brejcha, Lost Frequencies and Roger Sanchez, the 10th anniversary of the Beats for Love EDM festival in Ostrava used a total of 30 ZENIT W600s as uplights for the set decoration on the side steps. For Václav Olšar from High Lite Touring, the advantages of the outdoor LED wash lights are enhanced even further by the range of available accessories: "Thanks to the various SNAPMAG diffusers, you can always find the perfect solution."

Compared to the EDM festivals with their unusual set designs, the Colours of Ostrava is a hands-down classic. However, with stars such as Lenny Kravitz, Sam Smith and James Blake, the four-day festival can certainly hold its own among the Goliaths of the scene. For the classic festival stage, High Lite Touring used 28 ZENIT W600s as set and audience lights.
