Light in a parallel universe

“The Mar de Jávea Festival took place for the first time in 2024, so we wanted to set an exclamatory tone right from the start,” explains Nacho Mora of Fluge Levante. “And with the Cameo lights, we had one of the hottest manufacturers on the market available in large numbers.” Nacho had the support of his colleague Dani Todolí, who was more in charge of the light set-up details.
For the changing bands and lighting operators, the internationally active full-service provider relied on a basic lighting design that took advantage of the full range of the Cameo portfolio: OPUS® and EVOS® moving heads, ZENIT® wash lights, and PIXBAR® LED bars. “The EVOS® W7 is an excellent wash moving head with precise beam and great zoom. We use it primarily in the front truss for the warm white lighting of the artists and as a sidelight,” explains Mora. In contrast, the OPUS® SP5 profile spot moving head with its variety of effects is used primarily for zoom and gobo effects, which have a striking effect on the audience.
Nacho Mora, Fluge Levante“Cameo is well on its way to getting a firm place in the riders.”
“The PIXBAR 600 Pros are incredibly bright and offer a wonderful colour mix. We placed eight devices at the front of the stage edge to light the lower stage part and make the stage as a whole appear more homogeneous. That worked very well,” confirms Mora. The Cameo set-up was rounded off by the ZENIT® W600 outdoor LED wash lights in the stage background, which were used for strobe effects in all colours, among other things.
Mora is certain: “Cameo is well on its way to getting a firm place in the riders. The lights are robust, high quality, and even lighter than most competitors. It won’t take long for them to get through on the riders.”
