Embedded Software Engineer (m/f)

for the pro audio and lighting sectors

At our R&D Competence Centre you will be an integral member of our team of technicians and engineers, playing a key role in the development of products and product ideas for our LD Systems and Cameo brands. You will develop and optimise audio and LED products such as speakers, stage spotlights and wireless transmission and control systems for the professional market.

Your tasks:
  • Developing and implementing embedded software systems in our pro audio and lighting products
  • Defining software and hardware architectures as well as interfaces for implementing requirements and functions in complete systems
  • Implementing central software solutions for DSPs and CPUs
  • Implementing functional requirements, optimising designs and existing products, and developing unique algorithms and user guides
  • Developing prototypes
  • Running measurement series and test procedures on prototypes
  • Documenting measurement results, compiling test reports
  • Producing development project specifications
  • Engineering, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Information Technology
  • Several years’ experience in the design and implementation of embedded software systems
  • Experience in micro-controller architectures such as ATMEL, ARM, Analog Devices
  • Experience in the field of low-level software development and low-level protocols such as SPI, I2S and I2C
  • Knowledge in the area of DSPs, AD/DA converters and digital audio transmission (PCM, USB, Ethernet)
  • Knowledge of network technology and wireless transmission (WiFi, Bluetooth, etc.)
  • Proven knowledge of object-oriented programming (C++ / Python / JAVA)
  • Knowledge of analogue and digital circuit design and signal processing
  • Experience in the area of motor control and PWM drivers for LED products
  • Personal interest in pro audio, lighting technology, event technology and music is desirable
  • Good knowledge of written and spoken English
