Development Engineer (m/f)

for the areas of electronics, pro audio, electro-acoustics

At our R&D Competence Centre you will be an integral member of our team of technicians and engineers, playing a key role in the development of products and product ideas for our LD Systems brand. You will use modern measuring technology to develop audio products such as power amps, mixing desks, microphone systems and speakers for the professional market.

Your tasks:
  • Team-based product development in the pro audio area
  • Implementing product ideas, optimising designs and existing products, and developing unique circuit designs and user guides
  • Further developing and optimising existing products
  • Developing prototypes
  • Evaluating samples
  • Running measurement series and test procedures in the area of acoustics and audio electronics within the scope of our testing processes.
  • Documenting measurement results, compiling test reports
  • Producing project specifications for in-house development projects
  • Providing technical support for internal training programmes, trade fairs and product demonstrations
  • Providing technical support for our international sales
  • Engineering, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology or Acoustics or Master technician with longstanding development experience in the field of electrical engineering, information and communication technology or system electronics, with a focus on pro audio
  • Several years’ experience in the development of electronic circuits in the audio field
  • Sound knowledge of analogue and digital circuit technology and HF technology
  • Knowledge of analogue and digital circuit design and signal processing
  • Excellent NF and HF measurement skills
  • Confident handling of measurement devices such as audio and HF analyzers, FFT analyzers
  • Practical skills
  • Experience of speaker construction / conception
  • Trained ear for the acoustic assessment of products
  • Familiarity with the relevant EMV and LVD regulations as well as CE conformity
  • Personal interest in pro audio, event technology and music is desirable
  • Good knowledge of written and spoken English
  • Reliable, determined and organised
