Adam Hall LD Systems Active Boxes Models LDP102A/122A/152A

We have discovered a potential safety risk in LDP122A active speaker boxes which were delivered during 2005. Only the active model with built in amplifier is affected. The problem is caused by the fact that the wadding inside the box is not flame retardant, meaning that if a fault occurs on the amplifier board leading to overheating of a component, the wadding could possibly smoulder or burn.

If you are the user of an LDP102A, LDP122A or LDP152A delivered during 2005, you are advised to discontinue use and disconnect it from the power outlet. The problem has to date only occurred on the LDP122A, but theoretically could arise on all of this series.

We strongly recommend that you change the acoustic wadding inside the box to a flame retardant and self extinguishing wadding, before you use the box further. This modification can be easily carried out by yourself, using the material and instructions that we will send you free of charge. Alternatively you can return the box to us for free of charge modification. Please contact us using the contact information.

Please note, that as Retail Dealer, it is also your responsibility to ensure the safety of the products that are sold to end-users. Therefore we specifically ask you to help us to contact the end-users who bought these products from you.

Important Note: Only the ACTIVE speaker boxes listed are affected and only those delivered from our warehouse between 01.01.2005 and 17.11.2005. All systems delivered before 01.01.2005 and the new ND series (LDPN122A) are not included in this re-call.
